Our client ideally wants Service Leavers/Ex-Military candidates!
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Service Leaver seeking a new career in the Sales field, that’s still closely aligned with their military roots or an ex-military individual with prior Sales experience looking to join a company that focuses on relationship/networking-based selling (non-targeted sales/revenue) within an exciting SME.

Established in 1981, our client is the exclusive distributor in Africa and parts of the Middle and Far East for a growing number of defence and aerospace manufacturers.
Based at premises in Berkshire (it will be beneficial to have a car) and reporting to the Managing Director, with support of training if required, you will be responsible for following up on sales opportunities with government customers in targeted territories, chiefly in Africa. You will market their product range to new customers and offer solutions to existing customers for any future requirements (products include small arms systems to helicopters, weapon’s systems, body armour, night vision, helmets & accessories)
You will collect product information and pricing from our client’s manufacturers to prepare responses to government tenders and ensure prompt submission.
The role will involve nurturing face to face relationships with customers and will necessitate overseas travel when required. You will also accompany customers on trips to manufacturers both in the UK and Europe.
Initially joining the Managing Director on overseas trips, you will ultimately be expected to travel independently to agreed territories to pursue business and respond to customer requirements. This can involve sales visits of approximately 2-3 weeks duration, depending on the itinerary and nature of visits. Most trips will be planned, and notice given.

• Previous experience within the Aerospace & Defence industry, specifically small arms systems, and accessories.
