Senior Nurse
An amazing job opportunity has arisen for a motivated RGN, RMN or RNLD to work in a nursing home with one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers. As a Nurse you will be working in a highly reputable service within the Telford area.
This special nursing home offers luxury accommodation and the highest standards of quality residential nursing, palliative and specialist care for up to 71 residents including those with Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related illnesses.
As a Nurse your day to day duties include:
· Responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual care plans.
· Participating in a range of assessments including risk and self-harm.
· Supervising a designated number of Health Care Assistants and students.
· Assisting in standard setting and evaluating quality outcomes.
· Being expected to take charge of the ward/unit in the absence of the person with continuing responsibility, under the direction of senior staff.
· Working as a Primary/Named/Key Worker advising and supporting junior colleagues.
· Maintaining good standards of communication, both oral and written, in accordance with NMC guidance.
· Responsibility for reporting to the Ward Manager any circumstances that may affect the delivery of care and/or efficient running of the ward.
· Providing supervision to other staff, qualified and unqualified.
· Ensuring the security of the unit and all who use it and that policies and procedures are in place and followed.
An ideal Nurse must have these skills as they are beneficial for this position:
· Understanding of care planning processes and be fully familiar with clinical assessment tools
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
· Able to work within a team as well as independently
· Be able to demonstrate initiative and be adaptive and flexible.
· Able to show a can-do attitude always
