Charge Nurse
An amazing new job has opened for a motivated charge nurse to work within one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers. We are looking for a passionate and caring individual with a proven ability to lead, motivate and mentor a team within a highly reputable service based in West Sussex.
This specialist hospital provides care for people with mental health issues and/or personality disorders.
As a charge nurse, your day to day duties will include:
- Being a clear leader for the Nursing team and managing shifts
- Providing high quality care in acute wards, low and medium secure wards, with patients suffering from personality disorders and enduring mental illness; and acute episodes of illness
- Developing therapeutic relationships to optimise patient engagement
- Following all codes of conduct, standards and legislation, respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practice
- Contributing to patient assessments, compiling a plan of care alongside the individual, and monitoring patient progress
- Mentoring and supporting student nurses and other members of the team
- Promoting professional development within the team
An ideal nurse must have these skills as they are beneficial to this position
· Experience in a supervisory role
· A recognised mentoring certificate
· The ability to assess and teach junior staff
· A proven ability to co-ordinate care, prioritise tasks and manage Health & Safety issues
· A commitment to patient-centred care and to values-based and evidence-based practice
The Registered Nurse’s position is full time. The successful nurse will receive an excellent annual salary of £40,289 PA plus generous benefits in return of all their hard work and commitment. Benefits include:
