Our client is one of the largest producers of berries in the UK,
Our client is looking to employee a Mechanic to work on vehicles and equipment around the 3 sites and client sites and join their growing team.

Role Requirements
To perform mechanical repairs, inspections, maintenance, and diagnostics in a professional and efficient manner working within Health Safety guidelines.
The job will be based at our hub workshop in Wokingham with a requirement to travel to our other sites to carry out mobile inspections and repairs as required.
The mechanic is responsible for looking after a mixed fleet of vehicles across all Company sites.
On call out of hours and at weekends to deal with any urgent matters.
Main Duties
• Perform mechanical repairs on motor vehicles including MOT failures/repairs working within
• Health and Safety guidelines.
• To perform mechanical repairs, inspections, maintenance, diagnostics in a professional manner.
• Perform vehicle inspections using ramps or other workshop equipment as necessary ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
• Purchasing vehicle parts and lubricants.
• Performing monthly checks and annual servicing on farm generators.
• Carry out major and minor repairs/overhauls on vehicles and effected components, including engines, brakes, fuel systems, transmissions, steering, suspensions, drive lines and some electrical systems using a wide range of tools including specialist equipment.
• Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems, recording any faults.
• Maintain vehicle job records by recording service, repairs, and inspections on a daily basis.
• Move vehicles to and from site and within workshops in a safe manner observing company policies as per company handbook and Health and Safety manual.
• Report any broken, faulty, damaged equipment to management team.
• Maintain a good standard of housekeeping and ensure a good standard of workmanship in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
• Return specialist tools and reference materials to their designated locations reporting any faults found.
• Use steam cleaner to clean exterior of vehicles, vehicle under body, engines, etc. ensuring interior of vehicles is kept clean.
• Undertake any other ad hoc duties as requested by Management and Senior staff.
Other Duties- General
Understand how each department/site fits into the HHPF structure.
Meet Key managers and line staff.
Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with Health & Safety regulations as given in company Risk Assessments

Professional Experience:
Solid experience in vehicle inspections and mechanical repairs preferably in an agricultural or farming background.
Qualifications
• Preferable a minimum of NVQ/City & Guilds Level 2 (or equivalent) in motor vehicle repairs
• Clean UK Driving Licence to include D1, B1

• Ability to work on own initiative as well as work well within a team whilst achieving a high standard of workmanship.
