We have a new position for a Care Assistant, for a small home which provides support to people with learning disabilities.

The successful candidate for will be offered a excellent salary of £6.90 per hour plus other great benefits.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate: 

·         A full driving licence and own transport

·         A positive and flexible attitude with a friendly, kind and sunny disposition

·         Patience and understanding and have an encouraging nature

·         Have empathy and good communication skills

·         Reliable, committed and self motivated and show professionalism at all times

·         Be available to work Days and Nights

·         Experience of caring for people with a learning disability

·         You must have a passion for caring

• You will ideally hold a NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care

Key duties will include:

·         Carrying out duties to assist the client with their personal care, such as dressing and undressing, washing and showering and assisting with toileting

·         Assisting with ancillary duties

·         Maintaining accurate client records

·         Meal preparation and light domestic duties

·         Prompting and administering medication according to the care plan

·         Assisting with shopping and taking the client to social appointments

You will ideally hold a NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care and have experience in relevant areas.
