Registered Mental Nurse
An amazing job opportunity has arisen for a committed RMN to work with one of the UK's leading health care providers of independent specialist secure and step-down services across the UK. As a nurse you will be working in a hospital based in Wolverhampton.
This hospital cares for adults of working age with acute mental health care needs within a safe, therapeutic environment. The staff aim to provide a person-centred approach that promotes collaborative care planning to optimise treatment goals.
As a Nurse your day to day duties include:
· Providing leadership and support for support staff and act as a champion for residents’ safety and dignity
· Maintaining skills and knowledge and ensure that care is delivered according to latest guidelines and best practice evidence available
· Ensuring the ongoing safety of service users, residents, staff and visitors through systematic assessment, monitoring and reviewing processes
· Ensuring that clear and accurate records and communication systems relating to clinical and care delivery are maintained and effectively used
· Acting as a role model for good clinical and care governance practice
· Taking charge of the unit regularly and, in the absence of the management team, accepting responsibility for the smooth and effective running of the unit
· Helping to maintain the security of the building and its environment
An ideal Nurse must have these skills and be able to meet these requirements:
· Good organisational skills
· Good supervisory skills
· Good communication skills both written and verbal
· The ability to contribute to, monitor and implement changes that improve service delivery and outcomes for residents
· The ability to plan, allocate and delegate work appropriately
· To be able to understand Recovery Action Plans
· Experience of working with service users with various mental health needs
· A working knowledge of the Mental Health Act
· A working knowledge of Recovery and Recovery Star
· NMC Registered Nurse (RMN)
· Evidence of personal and professional development
