We have an exciting opportunity for dynamic and innovative individuals who are keen to make a difference to people’s lives to join a prestigious service – This is brand new service in Willenhall for people with mental health conditions.
Our client is opening a new acute service providing treatment for a wide range of acute mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic-stress-disorder, obsessive compulsive states, schizophrenia and all other major acute psychiatric illnesses.
Our client is a specialist Personality Disorder Service that includes a transitional service for women aged 18-25 years. There is an experienced team of mental health professionals and support staff, which includes consultant psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and therapists.
The successful candidate will be offered an excellent salary of upto£33,657 per annum dependants on experience.
The Staff Nurse role involves:
· Providing leadership and support for support staff and act as a champion for residents’ safety and dignity
· Maintaining skills and knowledge and ensure that care is delivered according to latest guidelines and best practice evidence available
· Ensuring the ongoing safety of service users, residents, staff and visitors through systematic assessment, monitoring and reviewing processes
· Ensuring that clear and accurate records and communication systems relating to clinical and care delivery are maintained and effectively used
· Acting as a role model for good clinical and care governance practice
· Taking charge of the unit regularly and, in the absence of the management team, accepting responsibility for the smooth and effective running of the unit
· Helping to maintain the security of the building and its environment
Qualifications/Experience
To be successful as a RMN Staff Nurse, you’ll need:
· Good organisational skills
· Good supervisory skills
· Good communication skills both written and verbal
· The ability to contribute to, monitor and implement changes that improve service delivery and outcomes for residents
· The ability to plan, allocate and delegate work appropriately
· To be able to understand Recovery Action Plans
· Experience of working with service users with various mental health needs
· A working knowledge of the Mental Health Act
· A working knowledge of Recovery and Recovery Star
Qualifications
· NMC Registered Nurse (RMN)
· Evidence of personal and professional development
