Lead Nurse
An excellent new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Lead Nurse to work in an exceptional care service based in the Worcester area. You will be working for one of UK’s leading health care providers
This service provides neurorehabilitation, recovery, and residential care for those aged 18+ living with complex neurological conditions, brain and spinal injuries and stroke
**To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse with a current active NMC Pin**
As a Lead Nurse your key responsibilities include:
• Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with CCL’s established policies, procedures and protocols
• Support, and in the absence of the Charge Nurse, organise the day to day running of the Ward allocating nursing Caregivers according to their level of competence, reviews skill mix and workload to ensure they meet the needs of the service
• Create a climate of support and cooperation, a culture of shared accountability across the organisation whilst holding individuals to account where there is non-compliance
• Act as a clinical leader and role model whilst providing direct quality patient care, sharing expertise with colleagues.
• Ensure a safe environment for patients, caregivers and visitors following the guidelines of risk management. Proactively reporting incidents, risks and/or failings taking responsibility to minimise these
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
• Commitment to make a real difference to the lives of our patients
• Excellent communications skills, a great attitude to teamwork and a desire to lead on patient care
• Updated NMC registration
• Knowledge of clinical standards and policies
The successful Lead Nurse will receive an excellent salary of £24.94 per hour and the annual salary is £54,468.96 per annum. We currently have permanent vacancies for both days and night shifts available. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
