Sales & Business Development Executive (206lw) – Defence - remote (+ travel) - £70,000.00-£80,000.00+ Uncapped Comms & Package

Our client has been successful in the cyber security market for over 25 years & has specialised in developing its solutions for defence & government. They are seeking a driven & ambitious Business Development resource, who has an excellent understanding of the workings of UK MOD together with a network of contacts in Defence, to participate in activities to enable revenue growth and meet sales targets within UK MOD. The successful applicant will have already gained some commercial Sales experience/be a’2nd jobber & above.

Responsibilities will include
• Meet UK MOD Sales Order Targets.
• Act as a Business Development resource to influence decision making within the target end-user community.
• Leverage own relationships and network to deliver own territory business development and sales.
• Consolidate Territory forecast into a weekly order forecast report.
• Ensure that efficient systems and procedures for recording, tracking and prosecuting sales are maintained.
• To organise regular internal meetings, ensuring the wider team are briefed and updated on activities and developments within key opportunities.
• Attend a wide range of networking events to develop pan government/defence and industry relationships and promote client
• To participate in exhibitions and conferences as needed, and to generate sales leads for client’s product and services.

Experience required
• Current experience and customer contacts in Defence.
• Demonstrable ability to understand and articulate the value and benefit of complex technical products.
• Experience in solution selling that enables a clear understand of the customer problem space and requirements.
• Experienced in both business development and sales. Setting sales strategy and plans.
• Commercial understanding including ability to work with and articulate different pricing models.
• Track record of bringing a new product to market.
• A strong network in Defence, Secure Government and/or Law Enforcement sectors, enabling engagement with End customers, System Integrators and key influencers to build relationships where needed.
• Holds minimum of SC clearance or can achieve this
