Sales & Technical Support (042lw) – Landscaping/Irrigation – Home Based - £38,000.00 - £45,000.00 + benefits
Our client, a specialist distributor of maintenance equipment & irrigation systems is seeking a new Sales & Technical support person. A home-based role & will involve regular travel, covering a customer territory from Birmingham to the South Coast of UK, promoting & selling their irrigation products and complete system sales (ideally, candidates will live in the middle of the country).
DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.
The role would also include relationship building with the current installers/dealer network and Irrigation Consultants. Training on company’s products will be provided (& potential sales training for the right candidate)
Key Responsibilities
Leading negotiations of project sales through to awarding of the contract for Irrigation products throughout the territory.
Quoting small irrigation project opportunities in conjunction with the Division manager.
Responding promptly to product/system enquiries within the territory leading to sales opportunities.
Responding to all customer queries promptly.
Working with existing customer base and focus on after sales opportunities.
Develop relationships with specifiers & designers to increase awareness of products and their application.
Liaison with the sales office to ensure customer expectations and order requirements are fully realised.
Deliver/present product training to end‐users, contractors, designers and colleagues as required.
Participate in all product and personal development training, as required.
Provide technical product support or response, where required.
Provide technical support/installation monitoring to all irrigation projects being installed within the territory.
Create detailed technical reports covering all irrigation project visits.
Populate the current CRM tool with sales opportunities.
Provide a monthly call report of all activity within the territory.
Maintain a professional appearance, appropriate to engaging across the broad range of customer contacts and their organisational roles and positions.
Experience required
A sound understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles would be an advantage.
Previous knowledge/experience or sales experience within the Turf industry selling irrigation/aeration products would be an advantage.
Good administrative, organizational, analytical and problem‐solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
The ability to multitask, work in a fast‐paced environment, and meet deadlines
Computer literacy. Microsoft. Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
